When I upload video onto the computer, only the audio works.?

I have just got a new video camera (Samsung MX10) and have taken some practice film. However, when I try to put it on my computer, it doesn’t read it as video. It only will play the audio, and in windows media player, at the bottom it says error downloading codec. So I went to the samsung website and downloaded their codec, software and firmware, restarted my computer and tried again but it still does the same thing… I have no more ideas of what to do, any help?

go there and download the codecs. If this does not work, search google for “windows media player codecs” until you find something that works. This one should be good though.

edit: what file types are they? if it is something other than the typical .avi, .mpg, .mov, etc, search for a media player codec with that file type specifically in your google search. You should have some luck that way. OR JUST DOWNLOAD VLC Player, it is the BEST
